Lincoln Tunnel Bus Crash: Two-Bus Collision Injures About 20 People

WEEHAWKEN, N.J. ? There's more trouble for motorists trying to get into and out of New York City.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says an eight-vehicle crash has closed an outbound tube of the Lincoln Tunnel. The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m.

That was about two hours after the Port Authority reopened the tunnel after a morning crash involving two buses.

About 20 people were injured in that accident, including two people seriously.

Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico says five people were injured in the afternoon crash. The outbound north tube has been closed and outbound traffic is being diverted to the center tube.
