During video hangout, astronauts review star-studded space mission

Astronauts who recently returned from the International Space Station discuss their experience during a Google+ Hangout.

Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield reflected on his space station stardom and the challenging readjustment to life back on Earth during a Google+ Hangout with his NASA crewmates, Tom Marshburn and Kevin Ford.

All three astronauts are back in Houston and undergoing rehabilitation after working for months aboard the International Space Station, 250 miles (400 kilometers) above Earth.

Hadfield noted that, by some measures, he actually grew stronger while he was in orbit.?That suggests that the food and exercise program prescribed for space station astronauts actually works the way it was intended to, he said. Nevertheless, Hadfield said the food he ate in orbit wasn't quite as enjoyable as the earthly fare.

"It's sort of like eating the world's best baby food," he said.

During Thursday's Hangout, Hadfield and the other astronauts fielded a variety of questions about life in space, gleaned from?Google+, Twitter?and?Facebook. Click on the video window for a complete recap of the event.
