Are you looking for ways to get families more involved in your child care program? The fact is, the most accurate predictor of a student?s achievement in school is the extent to which that student?s family is able to create a home environment that encourages learning; express high (but not unrealistic) expectations for their children?s achievement and future careers; become involved in their children?s education at school and in the community. Considering the importance of this fact, we invite you to join us for an informative training with Heidi Toursie, a Family Engagement Specialist from HeadStart, to explore the ways in which she has helped families get engaged in their children?s educatoin. Workshop is limited to 50. Adult size seating is available.
