Family Fun: Christmas Tree Hunting : Ideas for Women Home and ...

We were full?fledged?Griswolds when I was growing up. My dad loved Christmas as much as Clark Griswold and sometimes that meant searching for the perfect tree even if you had to drive forty miles away. This season as you head out to?find?the tree that is your perfect fit why?not?take the whole family out and make a day of it. You could start the day off by having a family breakfast together and talking about the size tree you want this year.

Once you are out on the road you can fill the time by singing Christmas Carols, playing?games? trivia, and more. Once you get to the tree lot (or the woods) be sure to make sure younger kids have a ?tree hunting buddy? that will help make things easier in case you walk off in separate directions. ?Divide into teams and search for your tree then look at what each team has chosen and make a final?decision?as a family.

Finally when you get your tree back home continue the day by popping some popcorn and working on decorating the tree together as a family. Allow smaller children to handle the ornaments on the bottom of the tree so they feel included.
